Pop-Punk with a bite from the Welsh Valleys. Taking influence from pop-punk greats like Blink 182 and New Found Glory then mashing it with heavy beatdowns and soaring melodies often found in a wide array of genres. Man of the Hour set out to sound like nothing you've ever heard before, whilst at the same time resembling a long lost friend.
Above The Underground are a Pop-Punk band with a hardcore twist hailing from Chester, UK.
I’m going to credit this great find to Josh as he gave me a hard drive full of Metal and Pop-Punk the other day and this gem was on it! Above The Underground remind me a bit of Bayside and The Swellers, which I reckon is a pretty sweet combo!
Above The Underground’s EP ‘Autumns’ is up for free download on their Bandcamp page, I would advise anyone into this genre of Pop-Punk to check this band out!
The Nearly Deads are a female fronted band currently located in Nashville, TN, they describe themselves as “Post-grunge with a modern punk punch”

Next Stop Atlanta are a Female fronted pop-punk band from Preston, who will, in my opinion, make a name for themselves at some stage with the material they’re churning out.
Words cannot express how much I love this song! Needless to say I checked out their other stuff and I was mightily impressed. Armed with catchy hooks and a damn fine lead singer, they’re definitely a band worth checking out.
Here’s the video for ‘I’m Not Morrissey’ taken off their mini album ’The Things You Do Best’.
This is gonna be a running thing with our blog, we’re gonna introduce you to a new (or old) band that we found online or sometimes in person.
The honour of the first ever band featured in this section is EXcel 21 from Kerry, Ireland. ‘When We’re Sober’ is a cracking video, featuring a ‘one shot’ view of a house party, which see’s beer pong, a guy playing guitar in the shower and a bloke who’s a bit worse for wear on the toilet. If you’re a fan of the late 90s/early 00s Pop-Punk (a la Blink 182, Green Day, Lit etc.) then you’ll enjoy this track.
Anyway, here’s the video for ‘When We’re Sober’!
